While preparing for your travel out of town, whether it is vacation or business, you should make sure it fulfills your checklist. Stay Simple has put together some basic questions that you should ask yourself before booking your hotel. Although everybody has different needs and expectations when it comes to selecting accommodation, we bring you the basic questions which should be considered.
This is the most important factor, you can check TripAdvisor ratings and guest images in their gallery- it often shows the true pictures about the hotel. You need to be very conscious while booking budget hotels or service apartments, making sure they are not depriving you of the basic amenities.
If you are travelling for business make sure your hotel is close to your work otherwise you will be wasting both money and time in an unknown city. If you are travelling for vacation, call and ask the hotel if they are close to the main attractions or whatever you are interested in visiting.
And is it charged or not? All hotels have parking of some sort available. In the bigger cities like Mumbai and Delhi, parking can be underground and may only have a limited number of spaces available. It is always a good idea to find out if parking is available and if it comes at an extra cost.
As of today, we all are tech savvy people that need to check the internet at least once a day. Make sure you check with if your hotel has WiFi available, and if there is an extra cost associated with it. The industry average rate is Rs. 100 per hour. Try to always choose a hotel with complimentary WiFi, why pay when you can get it for free?
If you are staying overnight you will most likely be eating out. Knowing if your hotel has a restaurant and/or room service can save you a great amount of time.
